We’ve designed, performed, and documented thousands of events including corporate retreats, nightlife events, birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, festivals, parades, celebrations of life, charity galas, races, and even the occasional wrestling match. What is a Signature Wedding Weekend?
Our Signature Wedding Weekend package is a completely custom, immersive experience that covers your entire celebration—from welcome party to farewell brunch. It combines entertainment, lighting, and film across multiple days and venues to create a seamless, stylized, and emotionally resonant weekend. Think of it as having your own private music festival, art gallery, and film crew rolled into one unforgettable experience.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely.
We serve couples nationwide (and beyond) and frequently produce destination weddings in Florida, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, New York, California, and anywhere our clients dream up. Our DJs, filmmakers, photographers, and lighting teams are seasoned travelers. Many even tour professionally across the U.S.
How do you handle artist travel for destination weddings?
We ask our artists to arrive at least 24 hours in advance of your event when possible. We also have redundant staffing and emergency backup plans in place. That means no last-minute surprises, and no scrambling if travel hiccups arise. Your event is safe with us.
Can I book Modern Era for a destination wedding even if I’m not located near one of your home markets?
Yes! We specialize in destination wedding entertainment. Whether you're tying the knot at a mountaintop lodge, oceanfront resort, desert ranch, or family property, our team can travel with gear or coordinate with regional partners for seamless production. We’ll build a plan that fits your location, timeline, and budget.

Yes!
Every service we offer is available independently or as part of a bundled package. Whether you need just a filmmaker, a lighting designer, or the full weekend experience, we’re happy to provide custom quotes that match your needs.
When should I book my DJ, Photographer, or Videographer?
Our most requested artists book 8–12 months in advance.

What if I want a specific artist?

Our DJs are club-caliber mix artists with real-time mashup skills and crowd-reading instincts. Our photographers and videographers are story-driven visual artists who specialize in weddings and events. Every team member has been vetted, trained, and immersed in our production standards before ever taking the lead on an event.
Why do your artists have different rates?
We let our artists choose their own value.
We believe in transparency and fairness. Unlike big companies who pay artists pennies while charging clients thousands, we ensure our team is fairly compensated for their work. That means your investment directly supports the creative professionals making your event amazing.
Do your photo and video packages include unlimited hours?
Yes—and we mean it.
We don’t believe in rushing out the door after a six-hour window. Your wedding day should be fully documented from start to finish, and if the party goes all night—we’re right there with you.
How do I choose my artist?
Once we confirm your date, we’ll send custom artist recommendations based on your style, vibe, and priorities. You’ll get:

- Past work and portfolio links
- Social media handles
- Consultation calls or Zooms
You choose who you vibe with—we’ll make the magic happen.
Can I request specific songs?
Absolutely.
You’ll have access to a custom client portal where you can list must-plays, do-not-plays, timeline details, and inspiration. Your DJ will take it from there and build a night tailored to your taste.
What if my artist can’t make it?
We’ve got you covered.
Since 2010, we’ve only had to swap artists four times, and each change was handled with months of notice and full transparency. We also maintain a roster of elite backup performers trained to seamlessly step in using your pre-planned materials. Your event will always be in safe, experienced hands.
Do you work well with other vendors?
Yes—and we make it a priority.
We’ll coordinate with your planner, photographer, caterer, or venue team to ensure your day runs smoothly. Collaboration is key, and our pros know how to execute in harmony with the rest of your vendor team.
Can I change my music or plans last minute?
Yes!
Our DJs are tech-savvy and can adapt in real time, whether it’s a new request or a last-minute timeline change. Flexibility is part of the Modern Era magic.
How do I book?
Just submit your inquiry.
Our Booking Manager will follow up personally to learn about your event, walk you through available artists and services, and send a custom proposal. Once you sign your contract and pay your deposit, you’re officially on the books.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, personal and company checks, ACH transfers, cash, and money orders.
